Heights Heroes Awards were created during the 2009-10 year as the Heights Heroes Awards. These awards are designed to recognize excellent teaching practices in the Alamo Heights Independent School District.
Eligibility:
Any member of the AHISD faculty, staff or administration can nominate a teacher/educator for a Heights Hero Award. The review committee would like to recognize someone who goes "above and beyond" in their teaching (whether that is always being available, inspiring a class to excel, or making a real difference in the lives of the students). The AHSF Board will make selections based on submission.
Amounts:
All Heights Heroes Awards granted shall be in the amount of $500 to be used for the recipient’s classroom or school-related project
