AHSF: FACE Campaign

The Alamo Heights School Foundation’s annual campaign, also known as the FACE (For All Children – Excellence) Campaign, provides ongoing, immediate support to the Alamo Heights School District in the form of teacher salaries and innovative grants for teachers. In addition, a portion of total funds raised are directed to the Foundation’s Endowment Fund, ensuring long-term growth and stable private funding for AHISD.

What is the 2008-09 FACE Campaign Goal?
To raise at least $400,000 to support excellence in education for all children in Alamo Heights, including the approximately 25% considered to be at-risk economically.

Your contribution to FACE allows us to:

PROVIDE funding for additional teachers for 2008-2009
- helping the District reduce class sizes
INCREASE the Foundation’s Endowment
- a portion of FACE funds will help provide a longer term funding solution
IMPACT immediately what happens in the classroom
- without relying on the State
KEEP 100% of each dollar given here in the AHISD
- enabling us to retain local control of ALL monies raised

FACE Campaign Goal:

Raise $500 per school year, per student to support excellence in Alamo Heights. $500/year is less than $10 a week!

Participation from parents and the broader community is critical to our success Businesses, grandparents, alumni, patrons, neighbors all can and must play a part in this effort.

As of June 1, 2008 we have raised more than $370,000. Even though we have exceeded our goal for the 2007 – 2008 school year, we are still accepting donations, so join the FACE team today!
