Did you know . . .
- You can donate your property to the AHSF outright. We will then sell the property and apply the proceeds to the Endowment Fund. You receive a charitable income tax-deduction for the full fair market value of the property value.
- You can use your property to fund a charitable remainder trust or gift annuity. You qualify for a charitable income tax-deduction and receive income for life (or for a term of years) for you and/or your beneficiary. The gift will eventually be used by the AHSF to perpetuate excellence for children in the AHISD.
- You can give your personal residence (farm, ranch, home) to the AHSF now and continue to live there. The property does not need to be your principal residence. You will receive an immediate charitable income tax-deduction and the property will be removed from your taxable estate. At the end of your tenancy, the AHSF will sell the property and use the proceeds for the Endowment Fund.
- You can make a gift through your will. Your estate will qualify for a charitable tax-deduction. You also may modify your instructions at any time.
You too, can have an impact on countless children in our district by naming the Alamo Heights School Foundation in your estate plan or by contributing a life income gift to the District. While gifts of cash are always welcome, the AHSF will also gladly accept your gifts of stock, bonds, shares in mutual funds, real estate (including vacant land, vacation or rental property, and commercial property), life insurance, and other non-cash gifts.
