The Roundup for Excellence Party
This dinner, with live and silent auctions, is attended by over 700 people, and is held in co-sponsored with the Alamo Heights Mule Team. The 2008 Roundup party raised more than $92,000, which is divided between the AHSF and the Mule Team. The AHSF proceeds from Roundup go to fund the distribution of Innovative Grants.
The 2009 Roundup for Excellence is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at La Villita Assembly Hall. The co-chairs for the event are Mike & Phyllis Viola, Lorrie & Arthur Uhl, and Sharon & Carter Thurmond. Centennial Celebration
To help the AHISD celebrate its Centennial in 2009, the Alamo Heights School Foundation will be hosting a Centennial Gala on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the San Antonio Country Club. The gala is being chaired by Mr. & Mrs. Alan Dreeben, Mr. & Mrs. Rick Shaw, Mr. & Mrs. Kelly Sechler and Mr. & Mrs. Cooper Boddy. Proceeds from the gala will go the AHSF General Endowment Fund.
The AHSF has also commissioned the publication of a Centennial Pictorial Book. Mary Fisher (AHHS Class of 1960) and Pam Cohen (AHHS Class of 1982) have been working together to put together 100 years of AHISD history through stories and pictures. The books will go on pre-sale in early 2009.
