AHISD's Child Nutrition Program hosted Squashapalooza in conjunction with the PE Department at Cambridge to promote healthy lifestyles through good food choices and exercise options.
Kids had the chance to learn about the various types of squash, how to prepare and cook the tasty veggie, and even sampled cooked Summer, Zucchini, and Butternut Squash and roasted Pumpkin seeds. After a healthy snack, kids learned how to play the game of Squash, testing their skills on the court!
