Cambridge Elementary Nurse's News
Our school nurse, Virginia Dameron R.N., plays the major role as advocate for students and their families regarding health-related issues. Nurse Ginny’s role also includes being a resource for students, families and school personnel. She is a liaison between school, students/families, community resources and the local Health Department. Additionally, Ms. Dameron is responsible for health screenings of students, assistance to students with disabilities, health supervision during school hours, immunization requirements, health instruction, community health responsibilities, and reports.
Ms. Dameron worked in hospitals and home
health prior to specializing in elementary school health 6 years ago. She
worked for Hillsboro ISD, Manor ISD, Georgetown ISD and is proud to return
home to San Antonio and serve the students, staff and families of Cambridge
Elementary.
