Concession Stand

Concession Stand in the Muledome.  This is one of the largest fundraisers for the PTSO.  The concession stand is run and staffed by PTSO volunteers during the home volleyball games and girls and boys home basketball games.  To volunteer, please contact one of the PTSO Board members in charge of the stand for the season which you wish to volunteer.

District Directory

The Directory is compiled and distributed by the PTSO.  Forms are sent home with all students in the Spring and are included in all PTSO newsletters at the various schools.  To be included in the directory for the following fall, the form must be returned to the High School PTSO no later than early May.  Directories are available each fall during Prep Day at the High School, Mule Market at the Junior School and Meet the Teacher days at the elementary schools and Howard.  They are also available at the Back to School Nights.  If you have not purchased your copy, you can contact the PTSO Committee member listed on the Board web page

Donations and Memorials

The PTSO maintains this program to allow parents to honor a family member, friend or special teacher with a contribution in their name to the PTSO Scholarship Fund.  The Library Fund or the Grant in Aid Fund (curriculum and teacher enrichment).  You will find a copy of the Donations form on this website, contributions are gladly accepted at any time during the year.

HEB Gift Cards

Buy your groceries and earn $$$ for the High School.  We all have to buy groceries and now by using the HEB gift cards, available through the PTSO, 5% of your purchase goes to the PTSO.  Gift cards are swiped at the check-out counters just like credit cards and sold in $100 and $25 denominations.  The cards are available at all PTSO meetings or by contacting a PTSO Board member.

Safe Homes

The PTSO compiles a list of all parents in the district that make the commitment to not allow parties in their homes while they are not home, not serve or allow under age drinking in their home, and not allow the use or presence of illegal drugs in their homes.  This list of parents is published in the PTSO newsletters.  To obtain a Safe Homes brochure, contact the Safe Homes committee chairperson listed on the Board web page.

PTSO Scholarships

Each year, the PTSO awards a number of scholarships to seniors who plan to continue their education at a university, two or four year degree plans, or vocational school.  The scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic promise and good citizenship.  The PTSO encourages all seniors who meet the criteria to apply.  Seniors will be receiving information about the process in their English classes in early December and applications will be available in the Guidance Office after Thanksgiving.  Completed applications, including recommendations from teachers, are due in the Guidance Office in January.  The scholarships will be presented at the Senior Awards assembly in May.

Senior Calendar

The PTSO compiles the Senior Calendar of important dates for seniors.  The calendar is provided on this website and sent home to seniors with the fall mailing of the ranks in class.  E-mail updates are also sent to interested senior parents with information that is of interest to seniors - updates to the calendar, reminders and information regarding college applications, scholarship applications, etc.  If you would like to be included in these mailings, send an e-mail your e-mail address to goudge6@sbcglobal.net
