Creating our own Movies

Third grade HEIGHTS students explored the world of claymation. These claymation videos are a cumulative activity for our archeology unit study. Each student team was given the task of representing some aspect of archeology; a new discovery, an archeological event, or some important happening in the history of mankind. The students were encouraged to use their imaginations and were allowed poetic license. The videos could be in the form of a documentary, or they could be humorous and entertaining. Each team chose their topic, planned and created a storyboard, made clay figures, painted a background, and took pictures with a digital camera. What an adventure!
