Two men, Joe and Bob, are building the Great Wall of China in the first scene. After a time period of just two years, it is completed except for one stone. Bob climbs up the stairs. As he gets ready to place the last stone, kaboom, a lightening bolt strikes him and also hits the wall. All their hard work is destroyed!

We had trouble making Bob and Joe. It was hard to put the clay over the wire frame because the clay did not cover it easily. To solve this problem we used more clay, so out figures were very heavy. It was difficult lifting Bob up the ladder. We couldn’t keep the fishing line from being visible. We chose the title, The Great Fall of China, because fall rhymes with wall and it is a play on words.
