The Terra Cotta Soldier - Bryan

A farmer from China is digging in the dirt at his farm, and he hits something with his shovel. He digs again and he sees a clay head. Frightened, he picks up the head and puts it aside. He keeps on digging, and he finds the rest of the body. Several weeks later he is finished putting all the parts together. He looks at the figure and it is a soldier. Ta Dah, the Terra Cotta soldiers of the Emperor Ch’in are discovered!

I really liked working on the claymation because it was fun and at some points it was very challenging. Sometimes the camera would move and the shots would look different than you thought they were going to. We tied fishing line on the character to make him move and dig with the shovel. I had to make a background and we took the pictures in front of it so it looked like he was in a farm in China. I put farm animals in the background to make it look realistic. We put some sand in front of the background for the farmer to dig in. We buried the body and the head in the sand so he could dig them up. The total amount of pictures I took was seventy-two.
