The following data helped determine the focus area for our school improvement efforts. We examined TAKS data, surveyed teachers about an area for school improvement, and considered teacher’s personal professional development goals.
Once literacy was determined to be the focus area, we chose professional development topics after conducting further teacher surveys* and discussions about the vision for a balanced literacy program at Cambridge.
