Why is it important to study the sun?
Without the sun there would be no life on earth. Without the sun our planet, the Earth, would be a frozen, dark ball drifting through space. The sun gives us light and heat and is responsible for almost all the energy found on earth.
Without the sun plants could not grow and animals would have nothing to eat. By learning about the sun we can better understand our planet and its relationship to the other planets in the solar system.
