Cambridge Elementary Box Tops Deadlines
and prizes
·
Back-to-school contest (deadline was
1 Sep 06) – Box Tops were collected all summer long. Students turned them in by 1 September 2006,
and the student with the most received prizes from Chick-fil-A, some summer
fun, and great Box Top products.
·
Monthly Random Drawing (2nd
deadline 31 Oct Sep 06) – Not everyone can collect a bunch of Box Tops and
labels. About once a month, we’ll have a
random drawing to select a winner. Each
Box Top and label turned in are chances at winning. The more turned in, the more chances at
winning! Submissions add up for other contests, but the slate is wiped clean after
31 October 06 for the next monthly random drawing contest!
·
Nine week contests (1st deadline
20 October 2006) – After each nine-week period we will recognize the top student overall, the top class overall,
the top staff member, and the top kid from each grade. Prizes include Chick-fil-A, Double Dave’s
pizza, and great Box Top products.
·

Overall year contest (deadline 18 May 2007) – At the
end of the year we will recognize the top student from each grade with the most
Box Tops and Tyson and Campbell’s labels.
Ms Flores has agreed to take a pie in the face from the top kid in each grade at the end of the year! And if we reach our school goal or $2,000 or
20,000 Box Tops for the year, Ms Ball will kiss a mule!
We are
fortunate to have our two sponsors from last year supporting the 2006 – 2007
Cambridge Elementary Box Tops program.
Both Chick-fil-A and Double
Dave’s are providing prizes and support of our Box Tops contests. We whole-heartedly appreciate their support!
Winners for 2006 – 2007 award
ceremonies
During the 2006 – 2007 school year at Cambridge Elementary,
we will announce winners for the monthly random drawings and the nine-week
contests and the overall year contest. Cambridge Elementary Box Tops Deadlines and Prizes section of this web page for the
exact dates for deadlines and winner announcement. We will also post those winners on this web
page:
·
Back-to-school contest (deadline was 1 Sep 06) – Murphy G. in Ms Ancira’s 3rd grade class won the
Back-to-School Contest with 375 Box Tops!
·
1st Monthly random contest (deadline was 29 Sep 06) – Jack C. in Ms Moinyawe’s 3rd
grade class won the first monthly random contest. Jack submitted 45 Box Tops and labels. Although this was not the most for the month,
it was enough for him to win the contest!
So, how is our school doing?
As of 16 September 2006, we have collected 4,457 from
Box Tops and labels. That may not sound like a lot, but just
remember, that is just from collecting trash!
Perhaps you can even think of it as a form of recycling. But
that’s $445 towards our goal of $2,000 (or 20,000 Box Tops and labels) and from
very little effort. And remember,
Tyson labels will even get us there sooner as they are worth 24 cents
each. Remember to turn in the entire
Tyson label.
For up-to-date stats, check out the poster at the Box Tops
collection bins – one next to the nurse’s
office in the 1st through 3rd grade wing and another at
the beginning of the 4th and 5th grade wing. The posters
shows how we are doing in reaching the overall school goal, how each class is
doing, and how many Box Tops each grade has collected, and how the students are
doing compared to the staff!
