Dear Woodridge Families:

As the new principal at Woodridge Elementary, I am proud to welcome you to the 2012-13 school year.   I am indeed honored and excited to be joining the Woodridge family and look forward to getting to know all of you.

Since I am new to Alamo Heights and Woodridge, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.  I am happily married to Keith, who is the Director of Leadership Development for KIPP Academy, San Antonio.  We have three grown children and three adorable grandchildren.  Our son, Daniel, is in Special Forces in the United States Army stationed at Fort Campbell.  He is married to Jen and they have Davin, age 7 and Keira, age 4.  Our daughter, Shea, has followed in our footsteps and is in her tenth year of teaching.  She is starting graduate school this fall, working on her master’s degree in administration.  Looks like there will be another school administrator in the family!  She is married to Eric and they have Evan, age 2½.  Our son, Geoffrey, is the starting right guard for the Carolina Panthers (#63).  Go Panthers!  He married Christina in June, so the next chapter in his life has begun.

I have been in education for 34 years, 23 as a campus administrator.   I strive to keep children’s success at the heart of everything I do.  I have high expectations for myself, as well as for our students and staff.  I take great pride in leading with integrity and value communication and parental support.  I look forward to working together to make this year a HUGE success!
