Woodridge Elementary Nurse's News

 

Our school nurse, Jennifer Brooks-Gilliam, R.N., plays the major role as advocate for students and their families regarding health-related issues. Her role also includes being a resource for students, families and school personnel. She is a liaison between school, students/families, community resources and local Health Department. Additionally, Ms. Brooks-Gilliam is responsible for health screenings of students, assistance to students with disabilities, health supervision during school hours, immunization requirements, health instruction, community health responsibilities, and reports.

Ms. Brooks-Gilliam is a registered nurse with additional certification in oncology. She is also a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and history. She is the mother of twin boys in first grade at Woodridge.
