Free and Reduced Price Meals

All households in the Alamo Heights Independent School District have the right to apply for Free and Reduced price meal benefits for their school age children.  The financial perimeters of this program are set and governed by the United States Department of Agriculture and the program itself is supervised by the Texas Department of Agriculture.

Students beginning a new school year within the same school district fall under the same eligibility guidelines as they did the previous year; however, eligibility status must be re-evaluated each year in order to determine current year benefits.

In accordance with Federal guidelines, AHISD provides breakfast and lunch at no charge for students who qualify for free meals and charges $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch for students who quality for reduced-price meals.

Please access the USDA website to check to see if your household meets the Income Eligibility Guidelines.
