The AHISD Point of Sale (POS) system is designed and updated by Lunchbyte Systems as new features are added to the software. The AHISD Food Service Department works closely with Lunchbyte Systems to communicate necessary software needs in order to “customize” the program to Alamo Heights ISD. This software works on a pre-pay or cash only basis. The AHISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to eliminate student and adult meal charging privileges in 2004. An alternative lunch will be provided to your child if sufficient funds are not available in their account. There is a charge of $1.35, payable directly to your student’s location administration, associated with this meal. The meal will consist of a peanut butter or cheese sandwich, fresh fruit and milk. Parents can pre-pay on-line once an account has been set up for their student. In order to set up an account or add money to an account on-line, you will need your child’s account number. Parents can get this number by calling their child’s school cafeteria or by calling the Food Service Office at 210-832-5940. Parents can also send payment in the form of cash or check made payable to AHISD Food Service directly to their child’s school cafeteria.
