Technology: Robotics
Students in elementary and middle school are programming robots! They will be competing in a contest in early January sponsored by TCEA (Texas Computer Educators Association). Students use the Lego NXT kits and program robots to accomplish specific tasks. Some students will be racing to see which robot can place the most balls in small cans in a two-minute time frame-not an easy task. Other students have used their ingenuity to invent a robot that will complete a task or solve a problem...like the robot vacuum cleaner, only more creative!
