Alamo Heights ISD's Technology Department supports our talented, innovative teachers using cutting edge technology such as iPads, Moodle, Google Apps for Education, and much more.
As a department, we work to support the creative endeavors of teachers by supplying them with the technological tools they need to provide engaged learning that is personally challenging which provides students relevant experiences, inspiring learning for life.
| Using Personal Device as Tools for Learning: AHISD approved the use of personal devices as classroom tools for students! Now, students can use their personal laptop computers, iPads, iPod touches, and internet ready cellular phones to access the internet and the educational resources they need everyday in the classroom. |

| The Technology Showcase is an annual event that features the creative talents and technological skills of our Alamo Heights students and staff. Each year, students work either individually or collaboratively to produce a variety of projects utilizing the latest software and technological tools in order to showcase the skills learned in their AHISD classrooms. These projects are presented and "showcased" one Saturday of the year, allowing parents, fellow students and staff, and our AH community the opportunity to see what is being learned. Technology Showcase attendees walk away with new tips and tricks learned from the presenters, AH students, and some of the latest tools and gadgets provided by sponsors through generous door prizes. | |
| Bond Provides Technological Tools With the approval of the 2010 Bond, AHISD will see the enhancement and improvement of the technological tools available to students and staff. |
