The “Shine Bright” Fund has been established with the Alamo Heights School Foundation to honor and remember Sarah Chidgey Hughes, member of the AHHS Class of 2001.
Sarah, following the footsteps of her mother, Denise, who taught first and second graders for 32 years at Woodridge Elementary in AHISD, was an elementary school teacher in the Spring Branch District in Houston for 4 years. During that short time, she profoundly touched hundreds of kids and teachers (and many others in her church and broader community).
To honor her mother and other dedicated teachers in AHISD, Sarah asked to be remembered through “Shine Bright” gifts to the Foundation that are used to support instruction and inspire teachers.
