Primary Goal

To enhance every student’s educational experience by providing funds for teacher salaries and innovative programs.

To achieve our Primary Goal, the Foundation raises and distributes funds from three sources:

  • The Foundation’s Endowment. Some of the Endowment’s current $2.6 million principal balance was due to the creation of 7 named funds specifically designated for scholarships. While some of the interest income from the Endowment still continues to fund these scholarships, the majority of the interest generated by the Endowment will provide teacher salary support for the District.
  • FACE (For All Children – Excellence) Campaign. This is the Foundation’s annual giving campaign. The majority of the funds raised are designated primarily to pay for additional teacher salaries, supplementing the District’s annual budget. A portion of the funds raised each year through the FACE Campaign go toward increasing the Foundation’s Endowment.
  • Special Events/Other Fundraising. Funds raised during Special Events (currently the Foundation/Muleteam Dinner) go primarily to support various programs at each campus that promote innovations in teaching.

The Challenge:
  • The amount of new information for children doubles every 18 months.
  • Alamo Heights students must be able to compete successfully, not only with students from other Texas school systems, but with students across the nation.
  • State funding is volatile and increasingly undependable.
  • Alamo Heights strives to provide excellence for all students, incorporating the state’s focus on adequacy and equity.
A gift to the AH School Foundation is a uniquely-effective way to ensure that AHISD provides our students the high quality education that is the centerpiece of the quality of life and sense of community that is “Alamo Heights.”
Please partner with the Foundation as we strive together to enhance our children’s futures.
