Du
Anne Hamby attended the New School of Music in Philadelphia (now
Temple University’s Boyer College of Music) and received her
degrees in music and theology from Philadelphia Biblical University. A
former member of the San Antonio Symphony, she is now in her ninth
year as strings instructor at Cambridge and Woodridge. She has performed
in professional string ensembles for over twenty years and is manager
of StringMusic.net, which regularly performs for audiences ranging
from small private parties to large public gatherings. The largest
setting was for Luciano Pavarotti during his final American tour;
the smallest was for a marriage proposal with only the couple and
a string duo present. (Yes the girl accepted!) Du Anne is married
to Robert Hamby and has three children. |
A
native San Antonian and a graduate of MacArthur High School, Cora
Harnish received a BM in cello performance from UNC and a Master's

Antonio Symphony, Dallas Bach Society and the Alabama Symphony among
others. Ms. Harnish has been teaching elementary strings at Alamo
Heights since 1997. She is a member of Texas Music Educators and
the American String Teachers Associations. She also maintains an
active cello studio and is a professional dog trainer. |
