Introducing Boomerang! 🚀🚀

Our AHHS rocketry program unveiled the rocket they’ll be launching later this week at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.

They’re one of only four teams with launch dates this year and the finished design represents thousands of hours of work designing, building and problem-solving with this AH-mazing group of now AHHS graduates.

Mules Up for the Class of 2026! With pomp and circumstance, Alamo Heights High School celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026 on May 22 at Freeman Coliseum. This year’s class of 400 graduates was honored for their outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements.

Congratulations to Salena Valdes - new principal at Woodridge Elementary!

She has served as assistant principal at Woodridge since 2021. She joined Alamo Heights ISD in 2018 as Instructional Coach at Woodridge.

Rodolfo “Rudy” Nerio has been appointed the new head football coach at Alamo Heights High Schoo. lHe currently serves as run game coordinator, junior varsity football head coach, and assistant track coach at Alamo Heights HS.

Mules Up and congratulations to Larkin Welder, a 5th grader at Woodridge! She was recognized today as a finalist in the 2026 Texas Cavaliers’ River Parade Art Contest. Her art teacher is Adelaide Barnes.

Monica Lopez, special education teacher at Alamo Heights High School, is a state finalist in the 2026 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards!

Brandon Boylan, Mule Time Media teacher at The Junior School, is the 2026 Alamo Heights ISD Teacher of the Year!

Boylan will represent AHISD as the district's nominee for the Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching and Region 20 Teacher of the Year.
