“Susie Quintanilla has spent many years with AHISD foodservice.  Over the last 4 years, I have had the pleasure of watching Susie go from an hourly employee to one of the best managers I have ever had the privilege to train and work alongside.  She has dedicated her life to making sure that kids get great food in the cafeteria each day and that they are welcomed with open arms.  Her team is a well-oiled machine.  She’s been a great help to me and to the district as a whole.  She took it upon herself to learn all of the new systems that were implemented over the last few years and has become “tech support” for all the other managers and cafeterias in the district.  When I am unavailable, Susie steps in and helps all the other managers with any IT issue that they might be experiencing.  Furthermore, I have had the great honor to see Susie grow into a very effective and well-respected manager over the last few years.  She is one of the main reasons for our success in Alamo Heights, and I look forward to seeing where and how she grows next.”

“Minerva Garcia has been an invaluable part of the team at AHJS for the last 7 years.  She is the heart of the AHJS café team.  She has been with SFE at AHISD since the beginning and has shown nothing but grace, poise, and dedication to AHISD, her coworkers, and the kids that she loves to serve daily.  She makes everyone around her feel welcomed and appreciated.  She is one of the hardest workers I have personally had the privilege to work with.  I wish I could clone her 100 times over, just so every other district can experience the dedication and love that Minerva brings to her job on a daily basis.”
