  17. The email I get from HAC alerts/Triggers is going into my SPAM folder, how do I stop it from going into SPAM?
We have an option to set alerts, where is that feature?

If you click on Classes when you are logged into HAC, you will be able to set up an alert for Course average or classwork if an assignment average is below a % or above a %.

If you choose to set up alerts in HAC, you will receive an email from [email protected].
Please do not reply to this email. If you have a question or concern, please call the campus attendance clerk.

Attendance alerts are done through our School Messenger system. You will receive a call if your child has an Unexcused absence for that day. Its a good idea to make sure your phone numbers are up to date in our system. One way of doing that would be to log into your HAC account and update your contact information. If you need instructions, please click here.

When trying to access my HAC account I get a security certificate error?

The link has changed since then and the corrected link without the certificate error has been posted.

Please make sure that you are going to this website: http://amhhomeaccess.spihost.com/

How do I change my password once I am logged in?
The following procedure describes how to change your password in Home Access Center.
    1. Log on to Home Access Center.
    2. Move the pointer over your user name in the banner. Then, click My Account.
    3. In the Change Password section of the My Account page, enter your current password in the Old Password field.
    4. In the New Password field, enter your desired password. A black dot displays in place of each character you type.
Recommendation: Use a mix of character types - upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols. To keep your password secure, do not use something easy to guess, such as your child's nickname or birth date.
    5. In the Confirm New Password field, enter your new password again. A black dot will display in place of each character you type.
    6. Click Change Password. Your password will be updated and the following message displays
above the password fields: Your password has been changed successfully.
What if I have lost my  HAC username and password?

You can go to the login screen and click on Forgot my user name or password. It will ask you to enter the user name if you forgot the password and it will send an email to the email that is listed with that user name. If you forgot your password or both just enter the email address associated with that account and it will send an email to the email address that is associated with that account.

User names and passwords will not be given out over the phone due to the Child Privacy Act, but you can go up to the school and show proof of guardianship with a photo ID.

How do I get my child's Student ID number?
The student ID number is printed on progress reports and report cards. Student ID numbers will not be given out over the phone. If you need your students ID number you will need to show a valid drivers license that you are the legal guardian of the student to the campus office.

I've waited 5-7 working days and I still do not have access to my child's grades.

Check to be sure that you added your child to the account. If not, add that child now. If you did create an account, contact the campus to check the status of the account.

What if I don't have an email account?
There are many free sites that provide email accounts. The email is required so that your user name and password can be emailed to you. If you forget your user name and password, the system will email it to you upon request.

What if I have a question about my child's grades or assignments?

Please contact the teacher directly. The office will not be able to answer specific questions about grades.

When I try to sign up. the page times out or I get a "Page cannot be displayed". What do I do now?

Please make sure that you have pop-up blockers turned off when you access HAC
Pop-up blockers come in many installed plug-ins and programs. A few examples are Internet Explorer, Google tool bar, Yahoo tool bar, and Yahoo Companion; just to name a few.

How do I get a login and password for HAC?

You can register for a user name and password online. Click here if you would like to create an account for HAC. (Only for Guardians)

What if I have more than one child in AHISD? Can I have one user name and password to access all of my children?

If you have multiple children in AHISD you may go to any of your children's schools.  You will be required to show a photo ID to receive this information.  The school can combine all of your students into a single login.

I am a student and I tried to create a HAC account but I got a message that states that I have already been registered

Student accounts for grades 6-12 have already been created using their username that was given to them by the campus and the default password for this year. If a student tries to create an account and one already exist, they will get this message:

Contact information has been found using the information provided, but the contact has already been registered for Home Access Center. Click the following link to return to the Home Access Center login page

I am a parent and I tried to create an account and it says that more than one contact was found.

If you tried to create an account and you have the same name as another contact, you will get a message like this:

More than one contact was found using the information provided. In order to register as the correct guardian, enter the email address you have provided to the district. An email address must have been given to the school district in order to register for Home Access Center.

Please call the campus to confirm the correct information. They can help you with this.

The email address that I have on file with the campus is correct but I have not received an email with my password.

If you do not receive this email, please

  • Check your spam or junk mail folder, and unblock this address: [email protected]
  • Contact your email provider to "white list" this email address: [email protected]
  • Contact the campus to be sure your current email address is in the school’s database.
  • Contact the campus and they set a temporary password for you.

The email I get from HAC alerts/Triggers is going into my SPAM folder, how do I stop it from going into SPAM?
If the email that you get from HAC alerts is going into your SPAM folder you will need to mark the email as not SPAM (white list it) and you will also need to notify your email provider to remove this email address from the blocked list and allow mail from [email protected] to go through. In some mail programs you can click on the email and mark as "not SPAM".

Questions concerning your child’s grades need to be directed to the teacher.

Grades that appear on HAC are as current as the teacher's electronic grade-book. Please allow adequate time for teachers to grade papers and enter the grades into the system. Remember, teachers have the full-time job of teaching, planning, collaborating, meeting, and assessing student work.

It is reasonable to expect the following time-line for grades to appear:
Daily assignments: 4-7 school days after the due date
Tests: 4-7 school days from the due date
Projects and written papers: 10 school days
Secondary (grades 6-12) writing assignments may take up to 14 school days
.

If you have problems/questions concerning an account, please contact your child’s school.
