When we feed people in need, we all win. The Alamo Heights ISD community came up big in this year’s Peanut Butter Bowl, donating 5,694 jars of peanut butter! The Champions Cup Trophy for the school with the most donations is now at home with the Mules!
“I couldn’t be more proud of our community, our school, our athletes, and all the people who stepped up and got behind this effort,” said Coach Ron Rittimann.
The Peanut Butter Bowl began in 2016 with two schools participating. It has since grown to 67 teams across the state. This year a record 80,336 jars of peanut butter were collected to benefit hunger relief organizations. Coach Rittimann has been a supporter of the Peanut Butter Bowl since its inception and this is the first time AHISD has won the Champions Cup.
Thank you to the entire AHISD community for their generosity and support of this year’s Peanut Butter Bowl!
