As we increase the use of technology in our schools,
we are committed to ensuring our students are digitally responsible and safe
while online. Alamo Heights has partnered with
Common Sense Education and
Nearpod to provide a robust
Digital Citizenship Curriculum to all teachers and students in the district. Teachers will provide lessons on Digital Citizenship during advisory and class meeting times throughout the year. Our goal is to incorporate Digital Citizenship concepts with our Character Education curriculum as a component of our
Profile of a Learner initiative and the recommendation of the AHISD Task Force.
Students are also receiving daily instruction on Digital Citizenship concepts through the use of the librarians, counselors, and classroom teachers. The curriculum below serves a guide to ensure we are meeting all of the components of Digital Citizenship and providing common language for all of our students and staff.
If you have any questions about Digital Citizenship, please contact Dr. Jimmie Walker, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, at
