Character Education

Since October, 2016, Alamo Heights ISD has partnered with Character.org to implement the 11 Principles of Effective Character Education. Character development is a comprehensive and holistic approach that parents, teachers and all caring adults use to help students understand, care about and consistently practice the character strengths and campus and district core values that will enable them to flourish in school, in relationships, in the workplace, and as citizens.

The touchstone below was created with the input of students, staff, and parents. The words represent the Core Values of Alamo Heights ISD.
